Buying and Using DJ Equipment: Turntables
Let's talk turntables. A turntable is currently the most popular among the DJ tools. Although you could easily use MP3s, a CD player or an ipod or other music player for your sounds and beats, the turntable is most popular because of the physical size. Many DJs simply prefer to be able to use something large to work with instead of looking at tiny displays. Another advantage of a turntable is that you get the feel and change the music because you can simply touch the record with your finger, find the right spot where to start or simply spin or slow down the record with your hand.
So what are the advantages and disadvantages of a turntable, and why should, or shouldn't your use them:
